There is no place quite like Hereford; boasting both the charm of rural life and the liveliness of the city. There are many sites of interest and the Cathedral is a great place to start. Standing tall over the city for hundreds of years, the Cathedral is both striking and fascinating; its chambers house the famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. The Cathedral grounds have a delightful walled garden and cafe, a peaceful public green perfect for picnics or mingling with friends, and sits besides the River Wye, Castle Green and Bishop Meadows.

The Town of Books

The medieval market town of Hay-on-Wye is famous for its cobbled streets lined with bookshops and the host of the annual Hay festival. Hay is a vibrant little town with an unusual charm; housing art galleries, antique stores, and artisan eateries. It is also surrounded by walking trails; with the Offa’s Dyke and Wye Valley national trails passing through the town, and the Brecon Beacons National Park on its doorstep.
