There's been lots happening at Oakchurch

Donation to St Michael's Hospice

Margaret Davies from Hereford won a bird nest box starter pack in our social media draw. When she told us she was going to donate her prize to St Michael's Hospice we added a bird table too.

"I knew that the patients at St Michael's would get so much enjoyment watching the wild birds in the lovely gardens." Said Margaret.

Nick Price, owner of Oakchurch Farm Shop, dropped in to meet Margaret at St Michael's Hospice and to congratulate her on her win. The nest box itself was recently installed in a tree in the gardens and is already occupied by a family of birds. The bird table is in pride of place where everyone can see it from the panoramic Day Services windows.

Ice Cream Flavour Competition Winner!

We received over 500 entries for our ice cream flavour competition and with so many amazing ideas it was a tough task to pick a winner. It was Maria Smith of Clehonger who's suggestion of Apple Cider & Caramel that stood out to our judges.

Catherine McAlpine in our deli made up the recipe and Maria came to Oakchurch Farm Shop on Sunday (National Ice Cream Day) to give it a taste and picked up her prize of £100 voucher to spend at Oakchurch.

Staunton-on-Wye Scarecrow Competition

We were delighted to host the Staunton-on-Wye Scarecrow competition. Entries were judged by local TV personality and antiques expert, Kate Bliss.

£170 was raised for Staunton school and Jo Nelson from friends of Staunton school accepted the cheque from Oakchurch Farm Shop owner, Nick Price.
