An annual charity scarecrow competition is being judged once again this year by
local TV celebrity and antiques expert, Kate Bliss.
Organised in aid of Friends of Staunton school, the event will be held at Oakchurch Farm Shop at Staunton-on-Wye on Saturday 3rd June. Judging will be at 11am with lots of other traditional fund-raising activities taking place throughout the day – skittles, coconut shy, face painting and more.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be hosting the event again this year.” Said Oakchurch owner, Nick Price. “Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.”
Entry is only £2.50 per scarecrow and entry forms are available at Oakchurch tills.
First prize is an Oakchurch Taste of Herefordshire hamper worth £150.
Oakchurch Farm Shop is at Staunton-on-Wye, just 10 minutes from Hereford on the A438 Brecon Road, HR4 7NH.
